A diamond painting greeting card is the best of both worlds — the calm, satisfying craft of diamond painting, finished as a keepsake someone will actually want to display. It's quick, beginner-friendly, and makes an ordinary card genuinely special. Here's how.
What you'll need
The easiest route is an all-in-one diamond painting card kit, which includes the pre-printed card, diamonds (drills), a tray, wax and an applicator pen. Everything's supplied, so there's nothing to source separately.
Step by step
- Prepare your space. A flat, well-lit surface and a few minutes' quiet is all it takes.
- Peel back a section of the protective film — a little at a time, so the adhesive stays tacky.
- Pick up the diamonds. Dip the applicator tip in the wax, then press onto a diamond's flat side; it lifts straight out of the tray.
- Match symbol to square. Each square on the card shows a symbol that matches a diamond colour — place it down and press gently.
- Work in blocks of one colour at a time to keep things fast and tidy.
Finishing touches
Once complete, press the whole design firmly (a book on top for a few minutes works well) so every diamond is secure. Write your message inside, and it's ready to give.
Ideas for every occasion
Birthdays, Christmas, thank-yous, new baby — there's a design for most occasions, and the recipient often keeps the card as a little piece of art. They also make a lovely, screen-free activity to do with children or as a relaxing evening craft.
